The company, originally known as Macro Systems, Inc., (Macro) was founded in 1966 in Silver Spring, Maryland as a software development firm. |

New management and staff were added, transforming Macro into a general management consulting, research and information technology firm. |

Macro was acquired by Cenco, Inc., a large diversified company then listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The company grew to 35 staff members. |

Macro prospered in the early and mid-1970s, and the staff quickly grew to more than 100 individuals. By the late 1970s, the parent company’s direction changed, presenting the opportunity for Macro once again to become an independent company. |

The Vermont
office opened.

Macro acquired Flynt and Associates to enhance the company’s expertise in the health care consulting field. The Atlanta office was established. |

Macro acquired Campaign Marketing Associates and began providing telephone data collection and market research services. |

| 1989 |
Macro acquired the Institute for Resource Development, Inc. (IRD), a subsidiary of the Westinghouse Electric Company. IRD specialized in international health and demographic surveys, organization development, management training and quality and productivity improvement. |

The company name was changed to Macro International Inc., reflecting the increasing international character of the business.

Macro acquired AHF Marketing Research, now operating as Macro’s New York office.

| 1997 |
Quantum Research Corporation (QRC), a Bethesda, Maryland-based survey research and information technology company, became part of the Macro family of companies. The Bethesda office adds strength in sophisticated electronic data collection, database management and advanced Web-based technology. QRC merged with Macro International in 2000.
The Public Health Survey Research Center, Macro’s third Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing facility, was opened in St. Albans, Vermont. |

expanded and moved to Plattsburgh, New York.
Macro International Inc. was acquired by Princeton, New Jersey-based Opinion Research Corporation, a public company on NASDAQ. Macro International Inc., now known as ORC Macro, continued to operate as a separate corporation held as a wholly owned subsidiary.

Opinion Research Corporation, Macro's parent company, was acquired by infoUSA, a leading provider of business and consumer databases, sales leads, and marketing services. Macro resumed business under its legal name: Macro International Inc., and is operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of infoUSA. |

Social and Health Services, Ltd. merged with Macro International. |
