Promotional Activities & Marketing
Photo: A group meetingThrough promotional activities, you generate interest in your program or campaign. Macro uses a variety of promotional tactics to secure recognition and exposure for your programs, including news releases, press kits, newsletters, PSAs, Web spotlights, and much more. Our skilled writers and designers have created copy and artwork for hundreds of promotional brochures, catalogs, flyers, pamphlets, handbooks, and other materials. We also coordinate our online marketing with offline marketing efforts so that your URLs, logos, and messages are heavily and consistently promoted across all of your marketing materials. Our online marketing includes search engine optimization and directory research, online advertising, banner and public service announcement development, and listserv outreach.

Girl Power! PSAGirl Power! Public Service Announcement (PSA) Campaign
At the initial launch of the Girl Power! PSA campaign, we distributed media kits to 850 television and cable outlets, 950 radio outlets, and 785 print outlets nationwide as well as to Channel One and Cable in the Classroom, both national networks that offer cable television programming for school classrooms. We also delivered modified kits to national organizations. Our video PSA has appeared on more than 180 television and cable stations, with total viewership reaching nearly 24 million. More than 60 radio stations have used our recorded PSAs on the air.

For the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, we coordinated the distribution plan and oversaw the dissemination process for the Healthy People 2010 PSA campaign featuring spokesperson Bill Cosby. Within 7 months, the PSAs were seen by nearly 60 million viewers with more than 7,000 airings nationwide and close to 20 percent of the airings occurring in the Nation's top 20 media markets.

As part of its mission to improve the lives of people with or at risk for mental and substance abuse disorders, SAMHSA developed a conference exhibit program to educate target audiences about the agency. Macro was asked to develop and maintain the conference exhibit program to reflect the mission of SAMHSA, including providing promotional and support materials. We develop exhibit schedules to represent SAMHSA offices at 200 national and regional conferences annually. We also create exhibit structure components to be used separately or together, based on the conference and the audience, to accommodate up to 6 conferences at a time as well as 10 concurrent regional/local conferences.
