Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) Communications Database
We used our onsite facilities to conduct usability testing throughout the development of an STD communications database for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This database contains current knowledge about how best to communicate to key target audiences about STDs and is a resource for local, county, State, and Federal health professionals. As part of this project, our usability professionals performed online assessments in our usability lab throughout the project. Maintaining our own testing facilities allowed us to involve users in the design process effectively and to test the interface early and often. Usability engineering and analysis has been proven to help keep development on track, on schedule, and in budget throughout the development process.
