Requirements Analysis

Photo: Man working on a calculator Macro begins the requirements analysis process by defining and classifying requirements in terms of data, system performance, security, and maintenance for the system. Requirements must be measurable, testable, related to identified business needs or opportunities, and defined to a level of detail sufficient for system design. We write a system requirements document to serve as the blueprint for system development.

It includes:

  • Project background
  • System goals
  • Desired system functionality
  • Target audiences
  • Business rules
  • Development and deployment platforms
  • Security requirements

Once requirements are defined, we draft the project plan, which outlines a timeline for work, milestones, and deliverables. We allocate each requirement to the appropriate area in the system, ensuring that all team members are working from the same project plan. Additional quality assurance testing confirms that each requirement for the system has been documented correctly and included in the final deliverable.
