Data Quality

Data quality is the state of completeness, validity, consistency, timeliness, and accuracy that makes data appropriate for a specific use. Macro recognizes the value and need for quality data to support decisionmakers, business and administration functions, and information dissemination to the public or interested stakeholders. Macro employs the strengths of relational database management systems to achieve robust data integrity standards and furnish quality data in a timely and accurate fashion.

NSF-NIH Survey of Graduate Students and Postdoctorates in Science and Engineering
Macro developed a Web-based data collection system for this annual academic survey. The system offers online editing, reduces or eliminates distribution and collection of paper forms, provides more detailed instructions and help files for survey items than paper forms can, eliminates entering data twice (once by the respondent and once by survey personnel), and provides a better way for institutions and NSF to manage data collection.
