SURVEY METHODOLOGIST

Provides advanced methodological knowledge in survey design and data collection. Analyzes and interprets results of internal and external research projects using statistical techniques. Provides methodological and analytical consulting and support to divisional staff and clients.

Macro has several office locations near Washington , DC as well as New York City , Atlanta and Burlington , VT. This position is based out of the Burlington office, but candidates who would like to work from one of Macro’s other office locations are encouraged to apply. Macro will also consider telecommuting options for the right candidate.

Masters degree in relevant study area (e.g., Statistics, Survey Methodology, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, or other applied quantitative social science discipline), and three years experience in survey research required. Ph.D. preferred. Knowledge of government contracting and statistical regulations desired. Experience in health, fisheries, housing, financial services, transportation, or surveys with difficult to reach populations a plus.

Ability to work weekends and ride headboats is HIGHLY desired. You must: pass a Fish ID test to prove ability to ID saltwater fish; be available 2/8 hour days/wk minimally; have flexible schedule and transportation; and, live in close proximity to saltwater fishing as travel is limited.
