DATA MANAGER
Macro International Inc., an evaluation and social sciences professional services firm, seeks candidates to support the cross-site evaluations of several children’s mental health initiatives for the New York office.
Primary responsibilities for this position will involve providing data management and analytical support to multi-site, federally funded evaluations. The position will entail management of complex datasets, report writing, quantitative and qualitative analysis of cross-sectional and longitudinal data, and oversight of data collection efforts.
Candidates must be able to manage projects, work under tight deadlines, deliver completed assignments in a timely and accurate manner, and interact effectively with clients and colleagues. Attention to detail is a must for this position.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in public health, public policy, behavioral or social sciences, or related field required with at least two years of relevant experience. Experience with and ability to write syntax for at least one statistical software package (e.g., SPSS, SAS, Stata, etc.) is required. Training and experience in program evaluation or research design required. A working knowledge of additional statistical software packages such as MPlus and HLM6 is desirable

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (SITE MANAGEMENT)
Macro International Inc., an evaluation and social sciences professional services firm in New York , NY , seeks candidates to support several evaluation projects related to children's mental health.
Primary responsibilities for this position will involve technical assistance and training related to the implementation of complex, multi-site evaluations. The position will entail interacting with diverse centers to provide guidance on longitudinal research and evaluation compliance under the direction of senior-level staff and in partnership with other research associates. Assignments typically include: literature reviews, in-depth interviews, focus groups, survey design and administration, site visits, data management, data analysis, and preparing written materials such as instructional manuals, reports, and training presentations.
Candidates must be able to interpret field-level problems and generate solutions, manage and analyze large data sets, synthesize qualitative and quantitative information from a variety of sources, write for technical and non-technical audiences, and interact effectively with clients and colleagues. Familiarity with public health, children’s mental health, or human service policy and delivery systems is strongly desired. Skill using statistical software, including SPSS, is a plus.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in public health, public policy, behavioral or social sciences, or related field required with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Access) is essential in this fast-paced client oriented environment. Candidates must have well developed writing skills.

RESEARCH MANAGER
Exciting opportunity to join a global provider of social policy research services. Put your skills to work contributing to meaningful research that makes a real difference in people’s lives. Macro International is seeking a Research Manager to work in our New York City office. The successful candidate will be part of a team that includes both technical and non-technical members working in a fast-paced environment on a variety of important survey research projects. This position is available immediately and will be open until filled.
A Research Manager (RM) creates new business, manages projects (either assigned or developed) from inception to conclusion and contributes new methods and approaches to project work. An RM assures quality standards are achieved all along the project's path, incumbents evaluate, analyze and present findings both orally and in client-ready products and services. Regular, frequent interaction with clients is required and may require some travel. RM’s may have supervisory responsibility for other research staff. RM's are accountable for project profitability.
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS or equivalent; Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred
- Three to five years' work experience demonstrating sustained success in the execution of research responsibilities. Experience in the fields of customer satisfaction, health care, public opinion, or transportation a plus.
- Well defined research and technical skills
- Ability to produce profitable work at significantly high level
- High degree of professional acceptance from a client perspective
- Finished products – written or oral – consistently meet/exceed project expectations
- Ability to analyze client requirements and develop effective strategies to meet them
- Ability to plan, coordinate and conduct assignments independently, or collaboratively as member of a team
- Ability to plan and prioritize workload, and to establish priorities for other staff as necessary
